Friends and Family Test

We would like to draw your attention to the Friends and Family test, which is under the “Have your Say” tab on this website.  We have recently implemented this short survey with a view to obtaining more patient feedback, so we can constantly monitor how we are doing.

If you are able to spare a couple of minutes, we would really appreciate your input.

Thank you in advance.

Introducing our New GP

We are pleased to announce that we now have a female GP, Dr Heike Kruger, working at the practice every Wednesday and Thursday.

Dr Kruger has a wealth of experience and will be a great asset to the team at RGP.

2018-19 Flu Clinics

We have a daily drop in flu clinic running Monday to Friday from 8.30am – 11am and 2.30pm – 5pm.  There is no need to book.  Simply give your name to the receptionist, who will add you to the list and one of the clinicians will see you as soon as possible.

Please note:  on occasion, there may be a short wait for this service, depending upon the volume of patients.

Alternatively, you can ask for a flu vaccine whilst attending for any other pre-booked appointment.

UPDATEDue to demand, we are running low on stock, so please check with the practice before arriving to ensure that the relevant vaccine for your age group is available.

We will be taking delivery of further vaccines the week ending 26 October.  Apologies for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your patience.

Cancellations

We are currently dealing with an increasing demand for appointments, yet are still experiencing a high volume of DNA's (did not attend).

155 appointments were wasted due to non attendance during the month of August.

Could you please ensure that you contact us as soon as possible when you are unable to attend in order that we can allocate your appointment to someone else.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Important changes to Saturday surgery times

Commencing 2nd January 2016

We have been notified by NHS Barnsley CCG that the emergency appointments offered on Saturday mornings by our practice are to cease on 26tth December. This is due to the introduction of iHeart Barnsley, the new Barnsley wide service for emergency out of hours appointments. From 2nd January we will be offering appointments to our patients on Saturday mornings between 8.30am - 12.30pm which will all be pre bookable. Patients who are unable to get an appointment on a Saturday are advised to contact iHeart Barnsley on 01226 242429.

Named Accountable GP

All patients will have a named accountable GP who will be responsible for patients' overall care at the practice. This does not stop you from seeing any other GP or Nurse Practitioner in the practice. Where a patient wishes to see a particular GP, they may have to wait longer to see their preferred practitioner. We will inform patients of their accountable GP opportunistically when patients contact the surgery. If you wish to know who your named accountable GP is, please contact the practice on 01226 700400.
